Purpose
Practical Money Calculators publishes free educational tools for common financial decisions. Our job is to explain the math, expose assumptions, and help readers ask better questions. We do not provide individualized financial, investment, tax, or legal advice.
Accuracy and review
Each published calculator must include a documented method, clear input labels, result interpretation, meaningful limitations, a worked example, and a visible review date. Pages are reviewed after material formula or content changes and on a scheduled basis.
Financial rules and product terms can change. When a page depends on current regulations or jurisdiction-specific information, it should carry a separate source date and geographic scope.
Source standards
We prioritize original documents and primary sources. For financial education, that usually means regulators, government agencies, statutory materials, and official program documentation. Secondary sources may help identify an issue but should not be the sole support for a consequential claim when a primary source is available.
Advertising independence
Advertising may fund the site, but advertisers do not control calculator results, formulas, tool ranking, or editorial conclusions. Ads should be visually distinguishable from publisher content and must not imitate form controls, navigation, or results.
We will not place ads where they could be mistaken for a calculator action or encourage accidental clicks. Sponsored content, if introduced, will be labeled at the top of the page and will not receive preferential calculation outcomes.
Affiliate relationships
The current site does not use affiliate links. If that changes, relevant pages will carry a clear disclosure near the link and the commercial relationship will not determine the calculation method or whether a product is mentioned.
Corrections and conflicts
Substantive corrections should be noted when they change how a reasonable reader would use or interpret a result. The site owner must disclose any material financial interest that could create a conflict with published content.
A verified owner identity and monitored corrections address will be added before the public advertising application.
